DAI Programs for Youth:

Camp Kyle T. Woodruff for Children with Diabetes

Junior Counselor Program

Summer jobs for teens (ages 15-18) with diabetes at Camp Kyle. One week for training and camp set-up, four weeks of serving as Junior Counselors and role models at camp. Please contact Robert Forand, Youth & Family Director or Joyce Cullen, Camp Director for applications and more information.

Youth Exercise, Sports, and Support (YESS)

Meets twice a month on Saturdays during the school year from 9-11am at the Southcoast Wellness Center in North Dartmouth, MA

Teen Social Group

Meets once a month on a Friday evening during the school year at 6:30pm at the Pizza Hut in Somerset. Please pre-register.

For teens with diabetes, ages 13-18. Meets every third Friday from September to May. Join us for Pizza!

Activities include: Bowling, Movies, Mini-Golf, Laser Tag and more!

Family Education Series

Deals with issues such as nutrition, sports & diabetes, growing up as a teen with diabetes and other interesting topics. Watch the mail for dates and information.

Holidays and Special Events

Planned for the child with diabetes in mind: Halloween Party, December Holiday Parties, Ice Skating parties, Bowling parties for the teens, and other gatherings.

School Programs

Arranged for classmates of a child with diabetes and/or school personnel. To increase the understanding of diabetes and normalize the child’s school experience, while watchful for and proactive during diabetes emergencies.

Support & Advocacy

For parents, grandparents, siblings and kids with diabetes.

Use of Lending Library, Web Site, and Quarterly Newsletters
